![]() I'm going to try to check out this new Shifman model at Macy's that I have high hopes for, but even if I like it as much as that Aireloom I can't be sure about its durability either. It's also not inexpensive but I was so comfortable and relaxed on it that I could justify the expense if I only knew it would last. I recently found an Aireloom model at Macy's that to me felt like your description of "a supportive cloud", but I have no way of knowing how durable it will ultimately prove to be. I'm not sure of any mattress I can confidently suggest that would avoid such problems, unfortunately they don't build mattresses like they used to. Springs are usually considered much more durable than the foams that are used on top for comfort. I wouldn't be so sure that the problem you described is due to innersprings, sagging in your sleeping positions and forming a ridge in the middle is more commonly caused by the foam comfort layers failing. I was pretty close to purchasing a Saatva HD but now I'm having some big doubts after reading about your and your parent's experience. ![]() When you negotiated the discount on the L&L did they specify the terms of the sale? Don't assume that you have no return option unless that was part of the deal, could be that their normal trial period applies. Sorry to hear about your problems with the Saatva Classic and the L&L. Would love some guidance if anyone has found a bed that is best described as a supportive cloud. I do have fears that a soft top layer will flatten after a year or 2 and then we will be left with a compacted layer and a firm bed again. I almost feel like the L&L would be great as a base mattress if it had a softer layer at the top. Strangely, it fixed my shoulder pain despite being firmer than the Saatva. Saatva also makes the all-foam Loom & Leaf, the Solaire airbed, the Saatva Youth innerspring, and the Saatva HD hybrid in the center third of the mattress. ![]() We just got a Loom & Leaf (the medium) about 3 weeks ago and at first loved the support but now we realize it is too firm. She definitely had a deep hip dip in the bed. The Best Mattresses According to Reddit 1 Best Overall Foam Saatva Loom & Leaf Mattress 2,070 at Saatva 2 Most Affordable Foam Casper Sleep Element. Carries most weight in her hips, while my weight is pretty even. We went the online route 4.5 years ago with Saatva and loved it for a year or 2 (after they gave us a topper) but it then ended up with a ridge in the middle and valleys where we slept. Like most, we have not had much luck with beds and I'm hoping someone has a suggestion. Is that an impossible contradiction? I am thinking a nice solid foam mattress that has a nice 3" pillowy top so you start off on a cloud but finally get caught by a medium firm mattress below it. More background below, but here is the headline:ġ) Don't trust innerspring anymore - too many have ended up sagging with a firm ridge in the middle.Ģ) looking for a bed that won't sag, that offers support but yet is soft.
